Egelhoff Sports is a family owned and operated sporting goods and apparel store. We have been serving the central Ohio area for over 40 years. We specialize in custom apparel items including corporate logo apparel, custom team uniforms, high school apparel and letter jackets, cheerleading spirit wear, and swim club suits.

Over 50 years of experience in the sporting goods industry and a strong focus on customer service means that you will get the attention you deserve.

We believe in our family oriented and friendly environment to help complete our customers unique requests and ideas.

Melissa Johnson
Melissa Johnson
General Manager

A Columbus, Ohio native, graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelors degree in Business Communications. She has worked for Egelhoff Sports for 20 years and has developed strong relationships in the community we serve. Having the ability to use her creativity while fulfilling a need for the customer is very rewarding. Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and watching a good movie or show. She was once cast as an extra in one of her favorite TV shows! On her days off you will likely find Melissa supporting her nieces and nephews activities.

Karen Egelhoff

Sales Specialist

Karen Egelhoff has been with Egelhoff Sports for 18 years. She grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from The Ohio State University. She lives in Columbus with her husband Scott (and two golden retrievers) and has three daughters. Karen is also “GiGi” to two grandchildren. She enjoys reading, knitting, and going to the lake or beach. A fun fact about Karen is that she loves everything Harry Potter.

Ron Stokes

Co-Owner / Partner

Ron is a leader, entrepreneur, and lifelong advocate for athletics, business, and community. A graduate of The Ohio State University, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing in 1985 and was a four-year member and two-time captain of the Buckeyes men’s basketball team, finishing his career with All–Big Ten honors and team MVP recognition. Ron went on to build a successful career in media and advertising before acquiring Three Leaf Productions in 2003, where he now serves as President and CEO. Under his leadership, the company has grown into a nationally recognized provider of integrated marketing, apparel/promotional and printing services for Fortune 500 companies and has received numerous regional and industry honors. His entrepreneurial portfolio also includes LARS Properties, LLC—a family-owned real estate and commercial services company. Over the past 29 years, Ron has been the on-air analyst for The Ohio State men’s basketball radio network and remains actively involved in board service and community leadership.

Bill Lewis

Entrepreneur with $500M+ in financial exits. He spent 25 years with the U.S. Department of Defense as the Director of Logistics for the East Coast. Bill oversaw an organization with over 2,500 people. He was recognized with the Vice President Gore Award in 1995 for his contributions and successful leadership. After leaving the DoD, he owned a vending management company that operated throughout the US. He signed some of the largest vending contracts in the country including UPS and USPS. In 2009, Bill purchased National Entertainment Network (NEN) from Coinstar. He restructured NEN by improving the company’s product offering, logistics processes, and buying costs. In 3 years, he grew NEN to 20,000+ locations and increased revenues from $91M to $200M+. In 2012, sold NEN to Monitor Clipper Partners for $100M+. Most recently, Bill purchased Smarte Carte, whose luggage carts, lockers, and massage chairs are ubiquitous in airports worldwide. After extensive improvements and reorganization, Smarte Carte was sold to 3i Group PLC, a British buyout firm, for $385 million, 23X its cash investment. Bill also owns a $60M real estate portfolio and 53 Verizon stores that service Michigan, Ohio, Florida, and Minnesota.
